Using Night Photography to Capture a Skyline

Ian recommends shooting the city skyline about a half hour after sunset when the ambient light from the sky and the light from the buildings are equalized. He shoots his composition at ISO100, with an exposure of 15 seconds. The long exposure blurs the moving people and cars, adding a creative element. Ian also photographs the city bridge, traffic moving across, blurred reflections in the river below.
