      Description

How do you go about shooting a city skyline at night? In this video, professional photographer Ian Plant gives you tips on the craft of night photography.

Ian recommends shooting the city skyline about a half hour after sunset when the ambient light from the sky and the light from the buildings are equalized. He shoots his composition at ISO100, with an exposure of 15 seconds. The long exposure blurs the moving people and cars, adding a creative element. Ian also photographs the city bridge, traffic moving across, blurred reflections in the river below.

Join pro shooter Ian Plant who shows you ways to handle the challenge of night photography.
