How to Perform a Surfer Spin

It’s so important to do bodyweight strength training moves, whether your goal is to lose weight or tone up. This is because moves like squats or lunges while seeming basic, are some of the best ways to get in shape. They work so many multiple muscle groups at once, can be done anytime and anywhere, and engage your lower body, so it becomes toned, slim, and strong.
Lindsey will first demonstrate the low-impact version of this exercise. To do this, you will squat down, pivot over, and squat again, alternating your right and left side. For the high-impact version of this move, you’ll squat and then jump to face the back wall, landing softly on your toes before jumping and squatting again.
Surfer spins are an amazing move to not only work your lower body but also get your heart rate up. Once you’ve mastered the low-impact version of a surfer spin, move on to the higher impact if your body allows it. You’ll be pleased with how this plyometric move tones your muscles and gives you a little cardio exercise at the same time.
All exercises you perform are your own responsibility and you perform them at your own risk. Always seek the advice of a physician or other qualified health provider before starting any physical exercise, fitness or wellness regiments of any kind.
