Duration:   3  mins

Description

Photographing hummingbirds can be as complex as you make it. In this video, wildlife photographer Ben Clewis pulls out all the stops to show you wildlife photography techniques and a complicated setup that pays off in magnificent images. He erects five flash units triggered by a pocket wizard. His camera is equipped with a 500mm lens that has an extension tube and a converter. The background includes a potted plant and the foreground a single petunia to attract the hummingbird.

This photographic plan allows you to get closer to the bird and significantly blur the background. You will see the results of this complex technique, Ben’s amazing close-ups of hummingbirds in action.
