Final Shot at Clingman's Dome

Doug Gardner
Duration:   4  mins

Description

Visitors to the Smoky Mountains’ iconic Clingman’s Dome can hike to the top of the dome itself – though it is not an easy trek – and enjoy the 360-degree view of the surrounding valleys. In this session, Doug and Bill demonstrate that some of the most scenic images will be from the parking lot, not from the top of the structure. You will gain a better understanding of how weather conditions can affect your visit to a location, and what you may need to know to make best use of those conditions. You will also learn more about the lighting conditions you will want to seek out for showcasing forested locations in different terrain.
