Cool Urban Photography at Sunrise
Layne KennedyDescription
Some of the most interesting light conditions for urban landscape photography can occur just as the sun is coming up or going down. In this session, Layne demonstrates how to use the low-light conditions to create dramatic motion effects with longer exposure times. He also discusses white balance settings and the lenses he likes to use for the different types of shots he is trying to create.
The location he selected for this session calls for particular attention to a few safety concerns, and he explains some other locations that may call for similar diligence. Because of the low light and long exposure times, Layne is able to show us a cool urban photography trick with a little red light that can add a unique element of interest.
