Comparing a Telephoto vs. Macro Lens
Layne KennedyDescription
Layne compares a regular 200mm telephoto lens with a macro 200mm lens. He demonstrates this by shooting a flowering hibiscus plant. The 200mm telephoto only allows him to get within a few feet of the flower, limiting his composition to full frame. The 200mm macro gets him within inches of the flower’s center, capturing the details and textures of the stamen and pistil.
