Let’s go over the things you will need to make your very own cuddly friend!
A little bit of forethought is required when planning to cut out your pieces – you want to make sure you get the best use out of the decorative elements of the quilt you are cutting. A little bit of forethought will give you the best outcome.
In this session we are going to do the bulk of our sewing up, assembling the body parts from the bottom up.
Learn about adding some embellishments, stuffing, and possibly some weights to our stuffed friend before the final assembly. All these things will give your animal lots of character!
We are so close to being finished! Now we are going to put all the parts together and meet our new friend.
We had a lot of fun making our bear friend, but if you use different parts of the pattern, you can make different animals – a fox, a mouse or a bunny!

While this pattern will work with any sort of heavy fabric, it is exceptional in quilted fabric, whether something you made from scratch or something you salvaged from the thrift store, or from a damaged piece. Make a bear as shown in the video, or use different pattern pieces for a bunny, a fox or a mouse.
