Rick Bayless is an award-winning chef, teacher, restaurateur, best-selling author and TV personality, specializing in traditional Mexican cuisine with modern interpretations. He has published nine cookbooks, including "Mexican Kitchen," winner of the 1996 Julia Child IACP Cookbook of the Year award, and "Mexico: One Plate at a Time," which won the James Beard Best International Cookbook of the Year award in 2001. Rick also owns a number of successful restaurants, including Chicago's Frontera Grill, which inspired his popular line of salsas and sauces. In 2009 he was the winner of Bravo TV's "Top Chef Masters," and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2012 for his longstanding PBS series, "Mexico: One Plate at a Time."
